Penn State Parents & Families Weekend 2023

Celebrating Penn State traditions is sweeter when shared with family. Parents and families of University Park students are invited to enjoy Penn State traditions during Parents and Families Weekend.

Registration is required for all families. The $25 per family registration fee* covers parking, buses/trolleys, and most events including the Ice Cream Social, Welcome Breakfast, and Football Game Watch Party. However, some events do require a reservation, fee, and/or ticket purchase. After you complete your registration you will receive a confirmation email with additional instructions on how to register and/or purchase tickets to these events. These events may fill up or sell out quickly.

The registration packet will include a Parents and Families Weekend schedule of events, a Penn State family lanyard and name badge for each family member, a Flat Lion, a sticker, and a set of two drink coasters (guaranteed for the first 3,500 families who register).

Events are scheduled from Friday, September 29 at 12:00 pm to Sunday, October 1 at 4:00 pm. You can explore the Schedule of Events to assist you in making your travel plans.

*For families of Pell-Eligible/Low-income Students: We are offering fee waivers for up to 80 families. More information is provided during the registration process. Families requesting a fee waiver should complete their registration and then contact the Parents Program at parents@psu.edu.

Refunds:

  • If you cancel before September 5 at 5:00 p.m. ET, we are able to offer a 75% refund of your registration fee ($18.75)
  • We are not able to provide a refund for cancelations after September 5.

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS:
