There is still time to register for Summer Classes at Penn State Abington

Posted over 2 years ago in Abington Campus News .

Abington Summer Session Registration is Open

Taking a course during our summer semester is a great option for your son/daughter. During the fall and spring, students often are unable to take a course that is requirement to their staying on track for their major, or they drop a course needed for their major. Missing a key course can end up causing a student to extend their time in college, costing both time and money! Taking a summer course is also a great way for your child to focus on a course that can be a bit challenging. And, by taking a course at Penn State, your child’s grade counts towards their grade point average! When students take a course at other college, they first must get it approved by PSU, and when they finish the course, they must get a copy of the transcript sent to PSU. And, even if they receive an A in the course, it will not count towards your child’s grade point average, only the credits transfer to Penn State, not the grade! They can avoid this hassle by taking the course at Penn State.

Because your child is busy right now with classes, we have created a webpage specifically for parents. Please review our page https://www.abington.psu.edu/parents and if you have any questions, please contact evaklein@psu.edu.
