Penn State has previously distributed $58.85 million to 36,126 students during the summer and fall 2021 semesters. Because Pell eligible students have disproportionately been shown to suffer financially during the pandemic, federal guidance provided to Penn State has recommended the two tier approach. We encourage all students needing assistance who were not eligible for the first round to apply for the second round following March 14 (date/process TBD).
